A Fan Fiesta to celebrate New Zealand and Argentinian cultures ahead of the All Blacks test in Napier on Saturday, was not dampened by the rain.
The event, which was moved inside to Napier Municipal Theatre from Clive Square due to the weather, saw people dancing, singing and enjoying the hype.
From 11am to 2pm there were free activities including face painting, salsa and tango dancing, vintage car rides, poi making and flax weaving.
People also had their chance to have a photograph taken with the Ranfurly Shield.
A traditional Argentine barbecue or 'asado', planned by Napier City Council in conjunction with the Argentine Embassy had to be cancelled because of the rain.
