Apple producer T&G Global is hosting an open day and tour on Friday to show people orchard operations and attract new staff.
"By showcasing some of the different and sophisticated aspects of our supply chain activities, we hope that locals will consider us an employer of the future," national orchard manager Lachlan Mckay said.
"A lot of young people are unsure of what to do when they leave school and many don't realise the amazing apprenticeships the horticulture sector offers right in their home town.
"T&G offers its people meaningful work, opportunities for career advancement as well as excellent learning and development opportunities in a supportive and collaborative environment - right on their doorstep in the Bay."
