*  If Chris Tremain supports amalgamation with Hastings then I'm in support of Stuart Nash.
*  Sacha Beecham, what an absolute disgrace of a lawyer, three convictions and can still practice. I wouldn't use her, would you? Mark Lewis
*  Re: blue box. Good on owners I think it is great addition.
To whingers: Have a look at the mess down your street, much worse.
*  Why doesn't the person who crashed into the pods in Havelock get their family together and put them back in place, show some responsibility. Tony
*  If Auckland DHB are too precious to hire health workers who are stinky smokers I hope the rules apply ditto to garlic eaters! Give nurses a break - they do a great job!
*  Country people should support Napier. Don't they remember when county councils were included in Hastings which was a dump at the time. Country rates jazzed it up.
*  In response to David Mandell: Maori seats guarantee a voice for Maoridom, a minority equal partner in New Zealand so get over it. Maybe your views are seen as racist. JB
*  Let's become a Republic, the Treaty is dividing us all.
*  I am a bit upset that learner licence holders will get told to walk if they don't obey licence conditions. I'm a mum of two children 8 years and 7months, I've been on my learners for 9 years - yes that's a long time but I honestly can't financially afford to move on to my restricted and I wish I could but it's a struggle. I reckon parents and people who have driven for longer on a learner licence should be let off. It's just not fair. Or make it affordable to get your licence.
*  How many head on collisions will it take in Gascoinge St before council admits there is a problem?
*  Yeah Marineland Rangers, boo NCC. Let them raise some money for Christchurch and give the animals company. I miss going to Marineland when I visit Napier. LM
