* I got a tattoo when I got engaged. We're now divorced. Can I have some taxpayer money too? Because "everyone makes mistakes". Amalgamation? Who needs who? Ever looked at the direction of traffic flow between the cities between hours of 7.30 and 8.30am and 4.30 and 5.30pm 5 days a week? SH
* Asking Napier ratepayers to help shoulder Hastings $54 million debt by amalgamating the two regions is not financially viable for Napier ratepayers already stretched to the max in these hard economic times. Stick to your guns NCC - you rock and don't let us down!
* Make no bones about it. There will be cost savings if Napier amalgamates with Hastings. For Hastings that is when Napier ratepayers are forced to help pay debt.
* Strategy to boost economy remove all benefits except the pension because they have earned it from paying taxes and supporting parasites - working works.
* With veges and fruit going up no wonder people are obese.
* Re the person whinging about man putting rubbish on someone else's lawn. At least he was decent enough to drive around and look for another area on rubbish day rather than dump it on a grass verge somewhere. We pay rates and pay for the bags. Don't see what difference it makes whether you put it outside your place on one day or someone else's on another day. I do it sometimes as well and I'm not ashamed.
* It makes me mad when I'm shopping and get served by unfriendly staff that can't even manage to smile. If they're not happy in their job, there are plenty of other people that would be willing to offer decent customer service skills.
