* To JD. The "gals" of Hastings Girls' High should be using the pedestrian crossing rather than the way a majority of them amble along and muck around on the usually very busy stretch of road. Yes motorists should take care when driving near any school, but some teenagers need
to use a bit of their own patience and common sense when crossing roads by their schools.
