* To JD. The "gals" of Hastings Girls' High should be using the pedestrian crossing rather than the way a majority of them amble along and muck around on the usually very busy stretch of road. Yes motorists should take care when driving near any school, but some teenagers need to use a bit of their own patience and common sense when crossing roads by their schools.
* The morons who repeatedly plough up newly sewn grass on new Maraekakaho Rd roundabout must think they are really clever. You are not, you are pathetic.
* Big thank you to Graham and Pete from Agree Autocare in Omahu Rd for rescuing me and fixing my tyre at no cost! Excellent guys. Will go there from now on. MH
* So agree with Steve Tipu, thugs is too nice a word to describe those things that attacked those innocent people. Who the hell do they think they are? They disgust me! Hope a judge dishes out the same fury they used on their victims. To the family, I'm so sorry for what's happened. May justice be served to you all!
* The boys that saved that girl are such an inspiration to our youth and it warms my heart to think not all teens are from Mars after all lol! Thanks boys and to your parents, you are awesome! Your sons have done us residents of Hastings proud!
* I totally agree Mr Thomas, the Aussie system is the only way to go. Also voting to be made mandatory. (True Democracy)
* To the senseless mother who bikes with her daughter on the handle bars every morning down Latham Street if you're not concerned about your own safety, consider your daughter's life and put a helmet on her or walk her to school simple! TC
* Re parking spot at Pak'nSave? All of you should get up and over yourselves as NZers have way more to be concerned with at the moment... Hello, Christchurch for example!
* Toilets in carpark behind farmers are cleaned regularly, not cleaners fault animals use them in between cleans
