* The "gals of HGHS" are no more obliged than anyone else to cross a pedestrian crossing in groups. Motorists need to be patient, especially near schools! JD
* Congratulations to the City of Hastings Pipeband for their awesome concert on Sunday. Loved the music and variety of dances, songs etc. Well done!
* If Clare Curran thinks it's ok to wear a rugby shirt in Parliament then why bother with school uniforms? KB
* Wide cycle strips everywhere around Hastings and not a cyclist to be seen. I suppose we ratepayers are paying for it. The very rare cyclist I recently saw crossed the road right in front of me, not sparing me a glance. Brakes required to avoid hitting her. J
* No surprise that Mayor Yule found Railway Rd a challenge. Multiple speed limits in short distance including bizarre courtesy zone for pseudo pedestrian crossing encouraging students to cross railway tracks ... You have spent a fortune creating confusion. More accidents coming for certain.
* We are very impressed with Salvation Army family store Napier. Prices reflect genuine concern for low income. Can't say the same about Hastings stores prices. JN
* Isn't it great to see a few "former" players featuring in HB club rugby. Ayden Clarke, Richard Baines and Taine Randell. Great to see these names! Ross
* To the honest person who handed my Nokia cellphone at Pak'nSave Napier, a big thank you.
* To the majority of people who park outside the Pak' nSave entrance waiting for a car park: All you're doing is causing a hazard. If someone driving past decides to take a car park that a car has just pulled out of it is not your right to abuse and do the fingers to the person who has taken the park which obviously you think you own. Richard
* Great letter Alex Bracey - let the police catch law breakers and come down harder on them. We won't see a change in attitude if people can escape by speeding.
