With nine teams entered from the Tremain Group, the inter-company banter is flying, especially between the Colliers Rural and Colliers Commercial teams, with two entries each.
"It's enjoyable to see people getting out of their comfort zones and taking part. The hype on social media has also been great with sponsor companies getting on board and accepting my challenge."
Many companies responded to Mr Tremain's video challenge asking "are you up for it?" In which he leaps into a kayak in his business suit.
"It's good to see everyone thinking outside the box with their videos and we have had many laughs seeing them all come through."
Mr Tremain is entered in the Kayak leg, with fellow Tremains Director, Cam Ward and his wife Mandy completing his team.
The new inclusion of Stand-Up Paddle boarding in this year's triathlon has had a positive response, offering a third option to the kayak or swim events.
The three person teams now have the option of the SUP (1300m), Swim (600m), or Kayak (1700m), with the cycle (20Km) and run (5km).
The day tends to be attractive to companies and staff as they can put up tents and bring along BBQs for post-race warm downs, Mr Tremain said.
Metservice is forecasting that showers will clear with a high of 19C.
The triathlon kicks off with the first wave of swimmers at 10.30am from Pandora Pond.
Race packs for competitors can be picked up today between 3pm-6pm at the Westshore Esplanade Domain.
