Social enterprise is what Alfred Ngaro is all about, and it is what drew the minister to visit Hawke's Bay.
The minister for the community and voluntary sector and associate minister for social housing arrived in town last night for a fun but gruelling workout at Patu Gym before addressing concerns around social and emergency housing today.
Mr Ngaro believed the Levi Armstrong owned gym in Napier delivered a programme that was the next biggest thing to break out into the community sector.
"I am all about social enterprise and I think people need to watch the space, as it is getting big."
He said he wanted to come to the Bay to get involved, as the gym was an example of a programme which reached out into the community to deliver and encourage health and fitness.
