Severe weather over Hawke's Bay continues to cause havoc, with State Highway 2 between Napier and Wairoa closing this morning due to a slip.

It opened at noon but was down to one lane, with a stop/go in place.

State Highway 5 between Napier and Taupo is also now open. The New Zealand Transport Agency are advising road users to take care on State Highway 5 and to delay travel on State Highway 2 if possible.

More to come.
