Hawke's Bay has plenty of activities and events for people of all ages to enjoy. We list seven of the best on offer this weekend.
1. Saturday Night Session - It's that time again where Crab Farm Winery hosts an informal, relaxed event and removes most of the tables out of the main room to make space for dancing. Tonight they are hosting Jharmony, The Rude Boyz and Akina Vinyl Appreciation Society and will have a range of drinks, snacks and comfy seating for everyone to enjoy. Tickets are $10 and the R18 event is set to start at 6pm.
2. Let's Dance Night - Let's Dance is a night of fun with '70s and '80s Dance Music. You can expect soul, funk, boogie, pop, disco and all those songs you used to dance to. Let's Dance is also a fundraiser for Cranford Hospice so why not get a group together, dress up in your favourite outfit and dance the night away? The dance will be hosted at the Napier Conference Centre tonight and is R18 with tickets priced at $50.
3. Livamol Autumn Stakes - Held at the Hawke's Bay Racing Centre in Hastings this race is a chance to experience the thrill of thoroughbred racing at its best. Free general admission and access to the Members Stand where you can relax while getting a fabulous view of the horses passing the winning post. The races will be running from 11am to 5pm today.
4. Tribute to Chuck Berry - Napier's Cabana will be hosting a tribute to Chuck Berry tonight at 8.30pm with New Zealand's premier RnR Guitarist Al Dawson Band featuring Marty Forrer on double bass, Daryl Jones on drums, guest The Lioness and Roy Brown on piano.
Doors open at 7.30 pm and tickets are $15. The event is R18.
