I hate to say it but if one of the cats had to go, I wish it wasn't that one.
Leroy has been with us since he was found abandoned just a couple of days old.
We syringe fed him and he has rewarded us since by being the cuddliest cat I've ever encountered.
The other cat? Not so cuddly. Refuses to sit with you, in fact, just stands on the table and yells at us.
We really miss Leroy and we searched for him for days and weeks after he disappeared but had no luck.
A couple of weeks ago, we started to see this cat pop up on one of those lost and found pet pages that looked very much like our cat.
He has been following people home, sneaking into houses to cuddle up on beds and has even popped into several shops.
Every time someone posted a picture we'd comment "Pretty sure that's our cat!"
Then we'd receive a reply saying "Oh I just fed him and sent him on his way."
We were always a step behind until the weekend when we finally saw a post in time.
We went round and picked up the cat and spent the next few hours trying to work out whether or not it was Leroy.
It looked so much like him but he didn't seem to know us and did not react to our other animals well.
Leroy would always run away from our dog but when Ella went in for a sniff, this cat turned around and beat her up!
We weren't quite sure what to about this imposter cat but in the end didn't need to decide.
Once he discovered the toilet window had been left ajar, he pushed his way out it and went back to his wandering ways.
Now we keep getting tagged by everyone who's spotted him prowling the streets and have to explain over and over that it turns out it wasn't our cat after all.
Or if it was Leroy, he's obviously adjusted to life on the run and prefers it that way.
