Wine, overseas holidays and even a colonoscopy were some of the goods and services that went under the hammer at the Property Brokers Charity Auction last night.
It was the first time the event had been held at Peak Vision Church and Property Brokers regional manager, and auctioneer at last night's event, Paul Whitaker said it was the biggest crowd he had seen, with close to 500 people in attendance.
Prior to the auction, Mr Whitaker was hoping to raise $40,000 and said it had taken a "massive effort".
Ultimately the event raised $62,525 - a new record. The left-field lot, a colonoscopy, reached an auction price of $3100.
Guests entered more than 50 bidding wars and 10 silent auction items to raise a large sum of money for Cancer Society Hawke's Bay.
