An arrest warrant has been issued for a Napier man accused of defrauding elderly women out of thousands of dollars after he failed to show up at court.
William Edward Harding, 76, denies the charges of causing loss obtaining by deception he faces over alleged offending between June 2015 and early 2016.
On Tuesday, police issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to show up at the his latest Whanganui District Court hearing.
Police say he may have left Whanganui and could be in Wellington, and have called anyone with information to come forward.
They have described him as a caucasian, about 180cm tall and of medium to solid build.
