PM Jacinda, Clarke and Neve will have warm toes thanks to Tararua

It was an easy decision for the Tararua District councillors when it came to deciding what to give New Zealand's first baby - socks from our best natural fibre.

And not just socks for Jacinda Ardern and Clarke Gayford's tiny daughter, but tootsie warmers for the whole family.

Appropriately, the little socks for baby Neve Te Aroha are adorned with red love hearts and those for her parents, from Norsewood's Kiwi Sock Company, are red for the Prime Minister and conservation green for her partner Clarke.
