The region won't be seeing any substantial rain this week as this summer's fine weather and westerlies are forecast to persist through till next week.
MetService meteorologist Stephen Glassey said rainfall over the next week will be minimal at best.
"At least for the next week it's looking like the dry weather will continue for Hawke's Bay, and any rain will be light," he said.
The forecast for the rest of the week is fine weather with a high of 23C.
Federated Farmers Hawke's Bay provincial president Will Foley said although most farmers expect this time of year to be dry their main concern regards the conditions over the coming months.
