Those worried about the closure of police stations and the fact the doors of some others are closed at night may be interested an "open day" being planned for the new Napier station expected to be in use in December.
No date has yet been announced for the walk-through but, according to a media release from Hawke's Bay area commander Inspector Tania Kura, it's "well on track".
She also said contractors have been shouted a barbecue for "working hard to ensure a timely completion while ensuring the work is held to a high standard".
Construction of the $5.5 million station started in April as part of a $24 million redevelopment of major police facilities in Hawke's Bay.
