A council contractor has agreed to pay for running repairs to Te Mata Rd.
It comes a year after work installing the new Havelock North water pipe on the street caused widespread road closures and traffic disruption on one of the main arterial routes into the town.
The new water plastic main was installed by directional drilling - injected underground - so the road didn't need to be ripped up.
But a year on the road is now bumpy and is being repaired with another round of traffic holdups, as many locals have noticed on Te Mata Rd.
The work began on January, starting at the Karanema Dr end of Te Mata Rd.
