Emergency services were called after a car plunged into Karamu Stream on Thursday night at the intersection of Ruahapia and Otene Rds, Hastings.
A police spokesman said they arrived at the scene at 8.07pm.
Yesterday, a tow truck and a diver were used to remove the vehicle from the stream.
The diver helped attach a line to the vehicle, to allow it to be winched out by Trade Towage.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the service was called out but was not needed, as there were no injuries resulting from the crash.
