A woman streaker who ran on to McLean Park in Napier during last year's All Blacks test against Argentina has cost the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union just under $3000.
There had been fears that the stunt may cost the HBRU as much as $20,000, but the union confirmed the actual figure was considerably less than that. The New Zealand Rugby Union used key performance indicators (KPI) to assess how the provincial union hosted the test match.
The national body had been impressed by the hosting of the test match, apart from the streaking incident.
Hawke's Bay Today understands the streak, where Rose Kupa slapped All Blacks fullback Israel Dagg on the backside and delayed the game for several minutes, has accounted for a loss of under $3000.
Ms Kupa became an internet sensation after she was apprehended at McLean Park following a nude sprint during the second half of the Rugby Championship test against Argentina on September 7.
