Selling alcohol to a 15-year-old girl is likely to result in a licence suspension for the Meeanee Hotel.
The hotel was caught in a police sting on April 30, when a 15-year-old was able to enter the premises and buy a drink.
Of the 17 licensed premises tested by police, only the Meeanee Hotel supplied alcohol to the girl.
It was the second time the bar was caught in a police operation, the first time serving a 16-year-old in October last year.
General manager and licensee Michael Pawson, who served the 15-year-old, said he took full responsibility. "We don't deliberately serve under-agers," he said. "I'm a businessman and I'm trying to run a business in a safe environment, and we've certainly learned a lesson."
Police applied to the Liquor Licensing Authority for a suspension or cancellation of the hotel's on-licence and Mr Pawson's general manager's certificate. Judge John Hole reserved his decision but said Mr Pawson should expect to receive a licence suspension to be served over a Friday night.
