A 30-year-old man has been arrested for shoplifting large power tools, among other items.
Hawke's Bay Police said they arrested a local man in relation to $10,000 worth of property stolen between August 13 and September 2.
Items stolen include Stihl concrete cutters, a generator, drill tool set, handbags, children's clothing and outdoor jackets. These were taken from stores across Hastings and Napier.
Concrete cutters stolen from the Hastings Stihl Shop on two separate occasions were still missing.
Stihl Shop owner Mike Brough said the concrete cutters and drill press were stolen last week during working hours. The stolen goods were valued at $4800.
