Three lucky people drove away in their own brand new Hyundai cars yesterday thanks to the Napier RSA.
They were the winners of the RSA's lottery that raised money for its educational trust, which aims to support young students into health or social service careers.
After finishing their studies, students would return to assist their communities, which was hoped would bring positive community change.
RSA member Ron Rowe said all associated with the trust had taken great heart from the positive responses to the lottery.
They had sold $21,000 worth of tickets in the three months their Napier RSA Centenary shop had been open in Emerson St. Mr Rowe said they had gotten the cars for a very good price thanks to Bayswater. Other prizes included two $1000 Mitre 10 Mega gift vouchers, a trip to Los Angeles, and a Mexicana cruise, which was won by a 94-year-old Napier woman.
