Hawke's Bay law firm Langley Twigg has supported the Mega Walk from the day it started.
The Twiggs are good friends of the Ricketts, who own Mitre 10 Mega, and were more than happy to join the cause.
Peter Twigg said his mum had died of cancer, so helping thecause was "close to his heart".
"They do really well on the day," he said, "they raise heaps."
Each year the firm manned a water table at the Ocean Spa station, also the starting point of the 6.5km leg.
Mr Twigg said it was great to see all the people on the day.
"All our staff are fit and healthy so we encourage them to get behind the great cause."
Mrs Fairless had fond memories of the walk and said the firm had been getting behind the Mega Walk for as long as she could remember. Seven colleagues and family members were walking or running this year, with others helping behind the scenes.
"The goal is definitely to have as many of our staff and family and friends to be there to support this amazing case," she said.
"It's a horrible disease and it's good to get families together to help."
The firm's staffers will don their CanTeen bandannas in support of the cause.
