Te Mata Estate Winery is relishing in the number of visitors this summer with a higher number of overseas people coming through their doors.
Sales and marketing executive Toby Buck said they had seen people from all over the world with most coming from Australia, America, Northern Europe, France, England and Canada.
He said as well as the rise in overseas visitors the knowledge of the wine tasters was different in comparison to other years.
"A lot already know about Hawke's Bay wine and Te Mata Estate or are genuinely interested to learn more, where as previously quite a few came to taste the wine as something fun to do on a sunny day."
Mr Buck said visitors initially knew Te Mata for their Awatea Cabernet and Coleraine but the cellar door was seeing large interest in their Chardonnay and Gemay Noir.
