Havelock North will come alive with music and colour as the first Street Carnival hits the village from 10am today. The community will flood to the centre for a day that none will want to miss.
This newly established event replaces the Boulevard day.
The festival is packed with a wide variety of entertainment and activities, making it a fun day out for the entire family.
These include a catwalk for fashion-lovers at 11am and 12pm, and performances by the pipeband at 12pm and the Hereworth School choir at 1.15pm.
Alongside these performances the streets will come to life with food stalls, exhibitions and performers.
