The 24th annual Hot Rod and Classic Car Festival being staged at Meeanee this Sunday will be an extra special occasion for Ford fans.
Malcolm Wilkie from the Marineland Street Rod and Kustom Klub said among the "500-plus" displays set to line up would be a colourful gathering of one of Australia and New Zealand's iconic cars - the Ford Falcon.
"It's the end of an era for the Falcon," Mr Wilkie said.
In May last year Ford Australia announced that the Falcon and Territory models, built at the company's plants in Broadmeadows and Geelong in Victoria, would come to an end.
The production lines are scheduled to halt in October this year.
