Horse of the Year 2014 is streaming live on the internet for those who can't be in Hawke's Bay for one of the biggest sporting celebrations in the Southern Hemisphere.
Horse of the Year show director Kevin Hansen said he was excited about the new, free development.
"This is modern technology, and can only help the show become more internationally-recognised," he said.
This year, streaming will concentrate on events in the Land Rover Premier Arena - with the exception of the JB Olympic Cup, which Sky has the rights to. Hansen hopes to extend live streaming coverage to other disciplines in the future.
It is the first big event for new streaming company Event Freak, which hails from Taupo.
