Spicing up your home and garden starts with good advice from the experts.

Whether you want to grow organic vegetables or switch to solar power, Hawke's Bay's largest eco-event has all the answers.

It's not often you can get them all under one roof - but with the Better Home & Living Show - getting guidance will be as easy as a leisurely stroll among the stalls.

Running from Friday May 22 to Sunday 24 at Pettigrew Green Arena in Taradale it will offer more than 130 exhibitors covering kitchens, home decor, alternative energy, heating, landscaping and more.

Being there will put you ahead of the crowd with show-only specials and previews of the latest trends.

"It's packed with hundreds of products and services for the home [to] inform and inspire anyone wanting to improve their lifestyle in a sustainable way," a spokeswoman said.

Daily seminars will be held on everything from landscaping for different environments to getting your interior design choices right first time round.

Whether building, renovating, decorating, furnishing, a passionate environmentalist or simply chasing a healthier lifestyle there will be plenty of inspiration for everyone.

It will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, with free parking available.

There's another drawcard - the chance to win a discovery expedition tour for two in Fiordland. Step aboard a motorised classic yacht, to explore the region's rich history and discover relics of settlements long past.

Havelock North event organisers Jade Promotions trialled and launched the Better Home & Living Show here six years ago, and it was a huge success.
