Minor delays can be expected on the region's main highways next week as maintenance programmes are carried out.
On SH2 north of Napier, drainage and shoulder repair work is under way at several sites between Tangoio and Tutira as well as between Wairoa and Morere.
On the highway stretch south of Napier through to Dannevirke similar work, along with some minor slip clearing, is taking place as sites between Pakipaki and Waipukurau.
Maintenance work is also under way on SH5 at sites between Glengarry Rd and Tarawera.
Motorists are also advised that delays can be expected in Napier while work on a roundabout system at the intersection of Marine Parade and Browning St takes place.
