Winter may seem like it is taking a break next week with unseasonably warm weather expected across Hawke's Bay.
A front approaching the country tomorrow is set to bring a northwesterly flow to the region and with it warmer temperatures.
MetService meteorologist Tom Bell said the front will be heading towards New Zealand from the west tomorrow and Hawke's Bay will start seeing a northwesterly wind pick up.
There may also be a few scattered rainfalls tomorrow afternoon or evening but easing off on Monday.
The strengthening northwesterly flow will bring warmer temperatures with a high of 16C and low of 9C tomorrow and highs of 19-20C on Monday and Tuesday with overnight lows reaching 10C.
