"We really wanted to celebrate this amazing milestone in style and deliver another incredible event to the community who have supported us for the last 30 years."
Art Deco Trust general manager Shane Gorst had to remain tight-lipped about what audiences could expect, but teased an "incredible new free event which will involve some impressive musical acts, a massive kids event that's never been done before ... and the
biggest, best vintage car parade in the 30 year history of this festival".
Their excitement was shared with Tremains Real Estate managing director Simon Tremain - with the company entering its fifth year as principal sponsor.
"Each year, our staff look forward to getting our hands on the new programme and choosing the events we want to go too. The festival is a highlight on the Hawke's Bay events calendar and the impact it has on the community and economy are enormous," Mr Tremain said.
"We are delighted to be involved once again and having seen the programme we can guarantee next year's festival is going to be extremely exciting."
The 2018 event is also expected to draw a bigger audience than ever - with its loyal fans, and first-time attendees keen to check out the festivities.
"Festivals don't have 30 year histories, events like this don't usually last that long," Mr Gorst said. "The reason this one has is because it is supported so well locally and by our die hard fans around New Zealand, and all around the world.
"So were expecting Hawke's Bay to be absolutely chocka."
He said their team had been working hard since the day after the last Art Deco Festival to make sure the 2018 event was the best yet.
"It's a massive opportunity to make it even more special to people," he said. "The Art Deco Trust has done an incredible job of building this up over so many years and to reach the 30th is just mind blowing, it's a very special thing to be part of."
The Art Deco Trust is committed to the celebration, promotion, restoration and preservation of Art Deco era Heritage in Hawke's Bay.
