I am proud to have been part of the development of the Pekapeka Wetlands; I am now chairman of the Rescue Helicopter Trust and the Knowledge Bank at Stoneycroft.
Giving back to the community is important to me. Listening is vital.
It is teams of people that achieve great ideals and the Power Trust presents an opportunity to build on the exciting development of Hawke's Bay at this time. Unison has an outstanding chief executive and he has built a very capable team. It is important the Power Board trustees work with this team to complement them and challenge them to further successes.
I have been approached to stand at previous elections, now is the right time and there is the opportunity to make further gains for the Unison group of companies. A more successful Unison will mean better returns for individuals and the community of Hawke's Bay.
Voting for me you can be sure of a broad vision, sound management and governance experience, and a visionary future for the Power Trust.
The yearly rebate cheque is important to our community; it is the quality of the achievements of Unison management that will ensure future payments.
I am standing to be part of a better team.
