Once every 10 to 15 years the city’s people have the chance to give the council their views on how and where and how development should take place.
Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise says the plan’s review provides an opportunity for the public to be involved.

The Napier City Council Proposed District Plan sets out the rules and policies needed to achieve sustainable management of natural and physical resources, protect the environment, and address the social and economic needs of the community, the council said.

“We’re incredibly proud of what our members have accomplished,” said Dan Barker, Optimist Sailing Rep for Napier Sailing Club.
“This season demonstrates the incredible talent and teamwork that our club fosters. We’ve had our share of challenges in the last year, but our sailors have consistently shown resilience and a commitment to excellence.”
