Spend a day sipping on a long list of award-winning wines from the golden triangle - the Bridge Pa Wine festival is back for the seventh consecutive year.

The wineries of the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District are running the collective wine festival on January 23, 2021.

Wine district chairman and Paritua Winery director of sales and marketing Vince Labat said the day is for celebrating and promoting one of New Zealand's premium winegrowing sub-regions after a hard year.

"The festival has grown every year since the first one seven years ago," he said.

"Producing high quality wine is our reason for doing what we do and celebrating it with this fantastic yearly event where we can enjoy it with visitors is the culmination of that."

Participating wineries include Abbey Estate, Alpha Domus, Ash Ridge, Sileni, Oak Estate, Paritua and Red Metal Vineyard.

All are connected by hop-on, hop-off buses so attendees can visit multiple wineries easily.

Each winery is offering a range of activities, including wine tasting, gourmet food and live music.

Labat said band Verdant Blue will be playing at Paritua and chef Mike Moloney will be on the grill.

Alpha Domus has band Ultrasounz playing on the day and Oak Estate has a line-up of live music starting with Eilish Rose, Dj Rob Carroll and Fraser Mack to finish the day off.

Op's Kitchen will be at Red Metal Vineyard serving what Labat said is the best gyoza (Japanese dumpling) in Hawke's Bay.

The Triangle Wine District extends over more than 2000ha on the western side of the Heretaunga plains and includes the largest concentration of vineyards in Hawke's Bay.

Labat said the wineries work hard to ensure the smooth running of the festival.

"The fun people have keeps patrons coming back," he said.

The festival will run from 10.30am to 5.30pm.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite and Facebook.
