Hastings District Council is calling for expressions of interest from developers to build housing on three blocks of Flaxmere land.
Tarbet St, 244 Flaxmere Ave, a section of council-owned land in the Flaxmere Town Centre and 72 Caernavron Drive have all been identified as council-owned land to be developed for housing.
There are already houses under way at Tarbet St, and now the design and delivery of three-waters services, roads, footpaths and amenity spaces are being designed for the other three sites.
This is expected to be completed at Flaxmere Ave next May and in the town centre and Caernarvon Drive by the end of 2022.
Hastings mayor Sandra Hazlehurst said the developments are part of the Hastings Place Based housing plan and the medium to long-term housing strategy.
