Art Deco revellers can dance under clear skies and sunshine as they celebrate Hawke's Bay's colourful architecture before the rain clouds roll back in on Sunday.
The Tremains Art Deco weekend, which began yesterday and finishes on Sunday, started with a high of 23C and a comfortable sea breeze in Napier to cool those dressed to the nines.
Today will be the pick of the days, with MetService forecasting a high of 26C in Napier and more settled weather and light winds. The weather will be perfect for the more than 200 events, hundreds of 1920s and 30s cars and aerobatic flying displays.
The weekend will also prove to be warm in the Art Deco capital with a high of 28C predicted for Saturday and 24C on Sunday, but the clouds and rain will begin to creep back in late Sunday evening just as the festival comes to a close.
Early MetService forecasts predict showers and cooler temperatures to begin next week.
