Hawke's Bay has four news cases of Covid-19, which ups the total number to 33 for the region.

Two of the four Hawke's Bay new cases had tested positive, one was a male in his 30s, the other a woman in her 60s who had recently travelled internationally.

The other two were probable cases and were a man in his 60s and a woman in her 30s.

A Hawke's Bay District Health Board spokesperson said any wider risk to the community would be communicated and anyone who may be a close contact will be contacted by public health.

"All of Monday's cases are recovering well and no one has required hospital treatment."

The DHB released a table of information broken down into territorial boundaries of where confirmed Covid-19 cases are located.

The data also showed five of the Hawke's Bay cases have recovered.

There are 10 cases in Hastings, one of which has recovered, three in Wairoa, none in Central Hawke's Bay and 20 in Napier, four of which have recovered.

There are no cases in hospital in Hawke's Bay.

"Releasing this table, as the numbers have grown, means there is less likelihood of people being identified," Medical officer of health Rachel Eyre said.

"The majority of Hawke's Bay cases are returned overseas travellers, and all have done the right thing by self-isolating upon their return."

Eyre said the numbers would not be broken down any further so the identities of those with Covid-19 could be protected.

She strongly encouraged people who developed or had a cold or flu-like illness and one of the following: a cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, a runny nose or loss of smell, regardless of whether or not they have a temperature, to call their GP or Healthline to be referred to one of our community testing stations.

"We have the testing capacity, and New Zealand's laboratories have the capacity to process the tests, so please take advantage of this."
