"It would be nice to give it more focus to be crowned champions in front of the home crowd but we'll take the league title anyway with a professional performance so it's irrelevant what happens on Saturday," says the player/coach whose side is also in the running for the Chatham Cup (national knockout) bragging rights.
"We still have a lot to play for with the Chatham Cup," says Robertson whose outfit will play Western Suburbs away in the cup quarter-finals the following weekend before reloading away against the same opposition in one of the three league games remaining.
He doesn't consider the remaining three league games after tomorrow - including away against Tawa and Petone - as dead rubbers.
"They won't be [dead rubbers] because we'll be using them to build up towards the cup games."
The Blues have no more home games because league organisers have rearranged games at the back end of the competition to accommodate their passage for further cup playoff matches.
However, there are other incentives for captain Danny Wilson and his men to keep performing to the final whistle of the season.
The Rovers are in the hunt for several league records.
They can eclipse the 81-goal feat of the 1996 Gisborne City team, although it isn't clear whether the record holders competed in a 10-team or 12-side one that winter.
Rovers, who are in a 10-team league, have 67 goals to their credit to date.
One record that will remain intact is Western Suburbs' least goals conceded - 10 in 2007. The Rovers have already conceded 13 to date.
The other target for this year's pacesetters is overhauling the most points in a season, which Wellington Olympic hold after amassing 49 from 18 games in 2010.
The Blues have 39 points and are within striking distance of the Greeks' record if they win all four remaining matches.
"It'll be the icing on the cake, as it were, if we break those other records but we have to attend to first things first."
What is turning out to be a memorable season for what resembles almost a shadow national league roster for the Rovers also comes on an enviable home record.
"The Petone loss is our only one at home so that's a little annoying as we dominated that game after they scored in five minutes and then sat back ..." Robertson says.
Needless to say, his troops don't consider the men from the other side of the gorge as walkovers tomorrow despite beating them in previous league and cup encounters.
"We're confident that if we apply ourselves to the same standard that we've had for the rest of the season then we'll be fine," says Robertson.
In previous seasons the Blues have had a habit of slipping on the banana skin against the Simon Lees-coached Palmy, in keeping with the tradition of other codes such as basketball, cricket, netball and rugby.
However, the chances of that happening against this season's Rovers tomorrow is up there with the probability of the All Whites making the Rio Olympics cut.
Striker Stephen Hoyle returns to the line up after jetting off to his home country of England a fortnight ago.
Centreback Robertson also returns to the fold after an injury break. Player/assistant coach Chris Greatholder and teenage striker Fane Morgan fall out of the equation.
