Bill Robertson has signed another contract to help Team Wellington through their O-League campaign in Vanuatu from today.
Robertson jetted off to Port Villa on Wednesday to compete in group C, alongside Vanuatu National Super League grand final champions Erakor Golden Star, Samoa National League champions Kiwi FC and Fiji Premier League runners-up Ba FC.
The Jose Figuera-coached Wellington kick off their title defence against Ba at Korman Stadium today. They play the Samoans on Tuesday and hosts Erakor on Friday next week with the top two qualifying for the playoffs.
"I'm pretty pleased to be back with Team Wellington who contracted me a couple of weeks ago," said the 33-year-old from Napier who Thirsty Whale Hawke's Bay United didn't want.
The two-time winning ISPS Handa Premiership captain with Wellington was grateful Waitakere United — who he had played for until breaking his arm before Christmas — had released him.
