As part of the entire experience customers will hear Māori greetings and short phrases as part of the customer service.
Director of te reo, tikanga and mātauranga at Ngāti Kahungunu Jeremy Tātere MacLeod has worked alongside her to create the right terminology for classics such as "flat white".
The waka will be stationed along Henderson Rd every morning from 7am to 3pm and is set to launch in early September.
The waka will also make its way to Waterworld in the afternoons where hot chocolate and other snack foods will be on offer.
Ms Pritchard's passion not only for the language but for making good coffee began in her own kitchen.
"We had a little coffee machine that my sister gave me and it pretty much went from there.
"I had no barista experience but have worked in hospitality, so in terms of the whole coffee culture all my experience has developed from what we had at home."
A local Flaxmere girl, she saw a gap in the market and says being able to offer a quality brew in the morning will be a first for Flaxmere.
"There is nowhere out here you can buy a good coffee.
"If you wanted to just be in Flaxmere or if you're on a walk in the morning and you're going to get your coffee fix then at least we're right there."
Having the waka in a handy location will mean those wanting that early morning coffee won't have to travel too far.
Ms Pritchard has gone with Aurum coffee, a local company based in the bay.
"They roast their own beans and like us, they are all about being professional and providing a good service."
