A man has appeared in court after allegedly receiving property stolen from businesses and the Hastings District Council.
Flaxmere man Aaron George Izett-Pascoe, 35 appeared in the Hastings District Court yesterday charged with three counts of receiving stolen property and one of fraudulently using a cheque.
It's alleged he received property stolen from the council, Geotech Drilling Ltd and Downer Engineering, as well as dishonestly used a cheque belonging to Thurlow Consulting Engineers and Surveyors Ltd.
Last Monday a Hastings District Council work base was burgled and while the council worked to repair the locks that were cut and install further security at the site it was hit again five days later.
A council spokesmansaid further security work was under way.
