Following a crackerjack holiday weekend, Hawke's Bay can expect the sunny days to last until the weekend.
Temperatures on Sunday peaked at 20.6c in Napier and 22.7c in Hastings and MetService meteorologist James Millward said similar temperatures had been forecast for Monday.
"In terms of the weather going forward, Tuesday will be another similar day. We still have the high-pressure system sat over New Zealand, basically dominating the weather for the North Island. So, we are looking at a mainly fine day with a couple of isolated showers around the ranges in the afternoon.
"Again, Wednesday should be similar to Tuesday, with a mostly fine day for you guys in Hawke's Bay. Just some isolated showers in the afternoon and the evening for the ranges again.
"In terms of looking further forward, there is a feature coming on to the South Island to the east with another from coming on to the South Island in the evening and into Wednesday and that should reach the North Island by Thursday.
