Mystery surrounds the landing of a late-model BMW in the tree tops of Napier Hill on Friday.
The errant car somehow ended up in the upper canopy of the trees, but also seemed to be perched on steel beams.
No one was seriously injured in the bizarre mishap.
Police confirmed they were not called to the incident.
