A free arts festival on Friday will showcase student work from film screenings and music performances to a fashion show.

EIT's IDEAschool students will be showing off the best of their work at the festival this Friday November 27.

It opens at 5pm at the Scholars Restaurant on the Taradale campus and there will be film screenings and music performances from then until 8.30pm.

At the restaurant, there will also be food and drinks available for purchase.

At 6pm there will be a fashion show and at 7pm the doors to the art and design exhibition will open.

Head of IDEAschool, professor Matthew Marshall, said he is excited to cap off a successful year with a great showcase of talent.

"This is our annual celebration of the amazing work that our art, design, fashion, music and screen production students have done over the year and is our privilege to showcase it to the world.

"The event is also a great opportunity to build their networks with the community and set themselves up for exciting careers in the future."
