Recently, I moaned to someone about not winning Lotto.
His response made me stop in my tracks: "We've all won the lottery by being born in New Zealand."
We might mumble and grumble about the government, the price of food, petrol, houses, the neighbours, the boss, the cat or the dog. But when you stop and think about it, what do we really have to moan about?
Imagine waking up in Afghanistan or Syria, wondering if this will be the day a bomb lands on your doorstep or your child gets shot.
Imagine being too scared to go outdoors.
