On May 8 I took my daughter to Frimley Park.
The pocket-sized blondie slid and swung through the playground before we both ambled over to the towering poplar tree and rose gardens. The sun was out and, unlike me, the native birds didn't seem too fazed with the Anglo-heavy treescape.
We left about noon.
It was a fond memory until the following day when I learnt my 4-year-old missed witnessing her first armed robbery by just 10 minutes and I'm not implying she missed out of a crucial developmental stage.
According to police a knife-wielding idiot (my words) entered the adjacent Frimley Four Square about 12.10pm and fled on foot with some cash.
