APN New Zealand, the company that owns Hawke's Bay Today has changed its name and from this week will be known as New Zealand Media and Entertainment, or NZME. (don't forget the full stop) for short.
The rebranding will see three companies, APN NZ, The Radio Network and GrabOne, with all their print, radio, digital and e-commerce brands, coming together under one new, over-arching brand.
The move makes total sense and we at Hawke's Bay Today embrace the change. What will stay the same is the product and services we bring you. We will still give you all the local news, analysis, sport, entertainment and leisure in print and on our website, hbtoday.co.nz, and our Facebook page and twitter feed, @HawkesBayToday.
The CEO of our company, Jane Hastings, came down to Hawke's Bay yesterday to unveil the new brand to staff and some of our advertisers. The whole point is to emphasise the reach and influence this new company has. About 2.9 million New Zealanders connect with NZME. brands each week. In Hawke's Bay, it is even more impressive, with nine in 10 people in our region engaging with NZME.'s media products.
This is what is important to me, as we obviously want to reach as many people here as possible. As a business, we are focused on working across our print, online, e-commerce and radio brands to give residents of Hawke's Bay what they want and need.
