A person was taken to hospital in moderate conditions after crashing down a bank near Wairoa.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a single-car crash on Friday at 9.15pm along SH2 near Morere in the Wairoa district.
Police say the driver was able to get out of the vehicle and had moderate injuries. The road was partially blocked for a couple of hours while the vehicle was retrieved.
