Each year hundreds of New Zealand's young creatives descend on Hawke's Bay for eight days' of artistic learning and experience at the National Youth Drama School.
However this year, unlike previous years, the schools' two-night showcase at the end of the week will be held at the Napier Municipal Theatre; a venue with the capacity to hold anyone and everyone who wishes to see the talent the school has cultivated.
National Youth Drama School chief executive Kelie Jensen said she was very pleased the school was now able to share its work at a large venue.
Since the Hawke's Bay Opera House was shut down the school has held its "Sharing of Work" nights at the Havelock North High School auditorium where it was a "struggle to squeeze" in the students' parents, let alone members of the general public.
"We'd previously been held back by the size of our venue," Ms Jensen said.
