The weather won't be able to make up its mind this week - with sunshine, wind, rain and hail all forecast for Hawke's Bay.
The week began with pleasant temperatures throughout the region. Hastings was the nation's hottest city yesterday afternoon, fine with a daytime high of 24.4C. Napier was also fine and only 1C cooler.
But MetService meteorologist Chris Noble said there was a week of "changeable" weather ahead.
"This week we've got a few fronts moving up over the country and they'll bring a period of unsettled weather.
"There will be days that are sunny and warm, and days that are colder, with showers coming through," he said.
